Lunchtime are not your regular breed of local-punk-band-formed-in-high-school. Over their six-year career they have reformed three times, independently released an EP and 4 singles, played over 150 shows, and have received airplay in Australia, Europe, the UK, and USA.
Their sophomore EP "They're Just Being Friendly" includes 5 mainstays of Lunchtime's live set over their early career. The main concept behind the album is a contemplation on grief.
Admittedly, they’ve come a long way from their days of playing in Rics bar and licking g-strings covered in jam, but with every new release their music always exudes the signature Lunchtime sound. It’s the sound of nostalgia mixed with an attitude of ‘no matter how many times you try to knock us down we will always get back up’.
